Today
We will continue the sunny and warmer weather for most of the day today, but a shortwave comes in causing some passing storms. Sunny with a high of 87 degrees with winds between 5 and 10 mph from the southwest, and more humid than we’ve seen in the past few days. Scattered t-storms expected later today during the afternoon hours. In fact, the SPC has issued a marginal risk for severe storms in the area. Although they are not likely, they could be strong in the areas they do hit.
Tonight will have a low of 63 degrees, with light winds. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected, mainly before 8 pm.
Next Few Days
The shortwave from today will be gone by tomorrow, allowing the high pressure system to prevail again. This will bring back the sun, with no rain, and little clouds. Some fog in the morning, which will eventually lead to some sun in the early morning, and then will lead to fewer clouds by the afternoon. A high of 88 degrees with calm winds from the north.
Nighttime will be mostly clear with a low of 67 degrees and light winds from the south.
On Wednesday, it will be a lot hotter, sunnier, and more humid. A high of 95 degrees, and slightly windier between 5 and 10 mph. A cold front arrives during the late afternoon into the early evening, which may bring some rain showers & storms.
The Shore
Sunny with a few isolated storms at the beach. A little windier than we’ve seen, between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts over 20 mph by this afternoon. Ocean conditions are calm, with wave heights between 1 and 2 ft, and a low rip current risk. Water temps in the upper 60s.
Tropical Activity
There is currently no activity in the tropics as of now, and nothing is expected to form in the next 48 hours.
