Turning the heat: day 2

Today

Get ready for one more day of high temps! Today will be 95 degrees with a feels-like temps of up to 105 degrees, which changes the heat advisory into an excessive heat warning for most of the area. Please be careful by limiting time outdoors and staying hydrated!

Mostly sunny with some winds between 5 and 10 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. A small chance of passing showers today, but most of the storms will come tonight. We are now under a marginal risk per the SPC, so expect some severe weather! A line of storms and low pressure seem to be entering our area around 7 pm tonight and will continue on until the early hours of tomorrow morning.

Otherwise, tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low of 73 degrees with light winds.

The excessive heat warning is in pink, and the heat advisory is in orange (https://www.weather.gov/phi/).
Our chance of storms for tonight.

Next Few Days

Tomorrow will be similar to today, but with the heat subsiding. Mostly sunny with a high of 89 degrees. Same winds as today, between 5 and 10 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. Storms and passing showers will be possible throughout the day, but lines of widespread storms are expected from late afternoon until past midnight. Once again, we will be under a marginal risk issued by the SPC, so these storms definitely have a chance of being severe.

Besides storms tomorrow night, it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 71 degrees and winds between 5 and 10 mph.

Sunday will be partly sunny with a high of 88 degrees and winds between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%, and storms are expected to occur throughout the day.

The Shore

Shore conditions have subsided slightly, with wave heights reducing to 1-2 ft waves and a low rip current risk. Winds will be on the lower side, between 10 and 15 mph. Water temps continue to be in the upper 60s!

Tropical Activity

Our system has now progressed into potential tropical cyclone #4 as it approaches Cuba. It has turned into a well defined tropical wave, and will bring storms over Cuba today and Florida tonight into tomorrow. The wave is expected to turn into a tropical depression as it hits Florida tonight/tomorrow, and has a chance of forming into a hurricane soon! Chances of formation have gone from 60% to 90% chance of forming into a hurricane.
