The Holiday is Here!

Happy 4th of July! Today will be sunny with clouds reaching our area by this afternoon. Lower winds from the south, and humidity will also rise as the day goes on. Models look clear of storms, but The National Weather Service believes otherwise. They say storms will hold off until 2 pm, but most likely happen around 4 and 5 pm. The SPC has also lowered our risk of marginal storms.

Nighttime will bring some heavy rainfall and thunderstorms throughout the night into early morning tomorrow. Humid, with lows in the 70s.

Chance of storms tonight.

Next Few Days

Tomorrow will be partly sunny with highs in the low 90s. The heat index will be high from the humidity. Chance of storms throughout the morning and into the night. Lows around 70 degrees.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy with chances of showers and thunderstorms. The high for the day will be around 90 degrees, with some wind around 10 mph. Storms will continue into nighttime.

Sunday, however, is looking sunny and calm! This hopefully will be our saving grace beach day for the weekend.

The Shore

Wave heights back to normal around 2-3 ft, and ocean temps still decently on the cooler side. Some wind, between 10 and 15 mph, and chance of thunderstorms, so please be careful! Rip current risk depends on the beach, but some beaches reaching a moderate risk.

Enjoy the 4th, and the rest of the holiday weekend!
