Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke

Temperatures on Saturday will reach the upper 90s with heat indices in the lower 100s. HEAT is the number one weather-related death in the United States. Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and act fast before it’s too late!

If you or someone is experiencing heavy sweating, nausea, or weakness, move into a cooler area and drink cool water. It’s also important to loosen clothing. Heat exhaustion can lead to heat stroke. Confusion and dizziness are serious signs of heat stroke. Call 911 immediately!

Heat stroke can cause death or permanent disability if emergency treatment is not given.
