Although the weekend will remain on the warm side, it will feel MUCH less humid and fantastic! But, all good things must come to an end.
A large ridge of high pressure will dominate much of the Mid-Atlantic as we head into next week. Temperatures will likely reach the mid to upper 90s on the mainland with mid to upper 80s on the coast.
The average high for this time of year is in the upper 80s.

It’s possible that we could be several degrees hotter. The latest model guidance shows lower 100s by next Friday! Drought conditions and lack of rainfall can help temperatures to rise several degrees higher.

Speaking of rain, forget about it next week. Besides a few widely scattered showers, most locations will remain dry. The front that moves south this weekend will creep northward as we go into early next week, but, most of the rain will remain to the south.
