Day of Relief!

Today

Finally, the heat wave has been broken! A cold front that moved through with the storms from yesterday will make today way more comfortable. Temperatures will be in the low to mid-80s, with dew-points feeling much better than the past few days. Storms and showers are expected to pass through this morning as the cold front passes through with it. After the storms move through, sun will begin to peak through, and clouds will dissipate as the day goes on. Windy today, 10-15mph winds from the NW, with gusts over 25 mph.

Tonight will feel amazing, with temperatures in the low 60s, a nice breeze between 5 and 10mph, with gusts over 20 mph, and very low humidity.

The temperatures from last week up until today, so much cooler!

Next Few Days

Don’t get too comfortable, heat will ramp up again within the next few days!

High pressure will build tomorrow along with a change in winds from the S-SW direction, which brings warm air from the south. However, tomorrow won’t feel nearly as hot as last week. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s to low 90s, with low humidity. Skies will be mostly sunny. A warm front will move through during the night, making the temps slightly on the warmer side, in the upper 60s and lower 70s.

Wednesday will have some similar days as last week. However, this time will have slightly lower temperatures, but be way more humid. Warm, moist air in front of a cold front will cause storms Wednesday afternoon and evening. The setup of the moist air in front of the cold front has the chance to cause some severe storms, with wind gusts being the main concern, and localized flooding possible. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 90s, with feels like temps getting into triple digits. Another heat advisory may be issued. Nighttime will have similar temps as the previous night, between the upper 60s and low 70s.

Shore

A small craft advisory is in effect until tonight, meaning it will be very windy! The morning may see a drop in winds, but will ramp back up in the afternoon to gusts close to 30 mph. Larger waves than normal, between 2 and 3 ft. Low rip currents for today.

Tropical Activity

Everything has calmed down as of now, with no activity in the Atlantic.

Enjoy today’s perfect summer day!
