Happy Tuesday friend! Today is gonna be a day for the ducks.
Today
We’ve got rain out there, scattered about the region. Could be dealing with some pockets of moderate to heavy rain at times. It’s overcast. It’s chilly. It’s blah. Highs will only get into the middle 60s this afternoon.
Winds start picking up too. You won’t notice MUCH on the mainland, maybe 15 to 20 mph, but at the beaches gusts over 30 mph are expected.
At the Beach
As the pressure gradient gets tighter, waves offshore will reach 10 to 15 feet. Breakers of 8 to 10 feet are possible on our shoreline by tonight, if not Wednesday.
Minor tidal flooding is likely early this evening, so be aware if you live in those low lying areas near the back bays.
Overnight
Still overcast tonight, with lows in the lower 60s.
Looking Ahead
Still unsettled Wednesday. We are keeping a close eye on a developing coastal storm. Where’s it track? Still uncertain. Closer to the coast means a bigger impact that could last into the weekend. Farther out to sea and the impacts lessen up a bit. We will have the full picture by Wednesday afternoon.
