We’ve really seen a change as of late. Right up until this past week, we were getting inundated with heavy rain and flash flooding, felt like every other day. Then we caught a break this week. Well… that could change tomorrow.

Sunday

Some showers are likely, and we could even see some periods of heavy rain once we get into the middle and late parts of the day. The farther south you go, the better your chances for that heavier rain. Early on, expect a mix of sun and clouds, but clouds win out by the afternoon. High temperatures are going to hinge a lot on how quickly those showers fire up. Right now we’re going with lower 80s. A thunderstorm or two is possible, and honestly, an isolated strong one can’t be ruled out either.

Here’s the setup: high pressure keeps us mostly dry through the first part of the day, but it retreats east as we go. As that happens, a warm front pushes in toward us, and that’s what opens the door for rain later on.

At the Beach

If you’re headed to the shore, you should be able to squeeze in some time through early afternoon. Late day plans, though, may get a little dampened.

Looking Ahead

A few spotty showers are possible early Monday, but we should clear out pretty decently after that. Partial sunshine sticks around through Thursday, with highs climbing into the upper 80s. Then it turns cooler as we head toward the end of the week.

Enjoy the day while you can, gang!
