Still hazy, hot and humid today, not gonna lie. But hey, after yesterday’s frontal passage it’s actually a LITTLE better than the past couple days, so I’ll take the win where I can get it. Highs top out around ninety in the afternoon, dew points still parked in the lower 70s, so it’s gonna feel just as sticky as it sounds. Spotty thunderstorm possible in the afternoon. Then another chance overnight into Wednesday morning, and yet ANOTHER shot Wednesday afternoon into the evening. Basically, keep the rain gear within arm’s reach for a few days here.
At the Beach
Looking to spend some time on the sand? Low tide’s around lunchtime. Winds out of the southwest, 10 to 15 miles per hour. Rip current risk is low, so that’s a nice little bonus.
Overnight
If the skies cooperate and clear out enough tonight, look up. The Perseid meteor shower should be putting on a show. Fingers crossed we get a decent window!
Looking Ahead
Now here’s the part you’ve been waiting for. Things get MUCH nicer Thursday through Saturday, highs dropping into the lower to middle 80s, which puts us below normal for this stretch of August. Don’t get too comfortable though, because unsettled weather and thunderstorm chances creep back in later in the weekend.
Stay cool out there,
Nick
