We’re kicking off the new work week the same way we ended the last one… a big ole UGH. High heat, high humidity, that’s the name of the game for the next few days. We’ve got a frontal system parked close to the region and a trough trying to sneak in from the north. Upper level flow out of the northwest, which is favorable for storms to fire up. Not an all day washout by any stretch, but expect some scattered storms to pop up this afternoon, and again Tuesday and Wednesday. Mainland temps rise into the lower 90s again with dew points in the 70s. Real feel closing in on 100. Stay hydrated, seriously, that one’s important today.

At the Beach

Looking for a break at the shore? You’ll get a little bit of relief, but nothing substantial. Upper 80s on the sand, mostly sunny. Rip current risk is low. Low tide around noon.

Overnight

We dip into the lower 70s tonight. Any storm that fires up during the day fades out by evening. Clear sailing overnight.

Looking Ahead

Rinse and repeat the next couple days, Tuesday and Wednesday bring more of the same. By the end of the week temps slide into the lower to middle 80s, humidity finally comes down, and comfort levels go UP.
