Quick PSA before we get into it: stay hydrated. Please. Your body cools itself by sweating, that’s the whole system. On a low humidity day the sweat evaporates off your skin and you’re fine, no issues. But on a day like today, where the air’s already saturated, that sweat just sits there. Can’t evaporate, can’t cool you off. So listen to what your body’s telling you out there.

Weather-wise, partly sunny with highs in the lower 90s. Storms are possible, but they’ll be spotty at best for most of the day. Maybe things get a little more organized later on. Any storm that does manage to fire off has the potential for flash flooding, frequent lightning, and gusty winds. All tied to a piece of energy that’s gonna pivot on through.

At the Beach

Beaches should be okay! Partly to mostly sunny. Still a moderate chance of rip currents though, so be smart out there. High tide rolls in mid-afternoon. Breezy, with a southwest wind at 10 to 15 miles per hour. Bugs shouldn’t be a problem, the air’s moving too fast for ’em.

Overnight

We drop into the middle 70s for lows tonight.

Looking Ahead

Back into the lower 90s for highs on your Saturday. Sun and clouds mixing it up, spotty thunderstorm chance. More of the same, basically. We keep it hot right on through the middle of next week, then a change finally comes as a trough builds in the eastern part of the country. Lower humidity is on the horizon… but it’s gonna take a little bit to get here. Rinse and repeat till then!
