It’s icky, sticky, swampy and soupy out the door this morning.
On the Roads We’ve got a green light on all major roadways. No issues to report, in the weather department of course.
The Heat Cranks Up The heat really gets kickin’ today with highs topping out in the lower to middle 90s. We’ve got hazy sunshine locked in, a little brighter overall than yesterday, but with dew points in the lower 70s, there’s a TON of moisture in the air around us. Comfort level is no bueno.
At the Beach Escaping to the beach? Not too much relief there. I think we could briefly hit 90 even on the sand. With the westerly jolt in the wind, bugs will be seen on the sand!
Storms Move In We’re dry for most of the day, but as we push later into the afternoon and evening, the chance for thunderstorms kicks up. The main threat is gonna be high winds, gusting to 50mph+, but also downpours and lots of lightning. There will be a little spin in the atmosphere, so a very small chance of an isolated tornado is on the table as well. We rinse and repeat for your Friday. Not everyone is getting a storm, they’ll be scattered about the region.
Overnight Overnight lows dip into the lower 70s. Some spotty showers possible overnight into Friday morning. Generally calm, sticky in the overnight hours.
