Good morning!
We’re setting up for a pretty nice day overall today, but there are a few subtle changes as we head into the afternoon and evening.
For today, expect plenty of sunshine to start with temperatures climbing into the middle 60s. It’s a comfortable spring feel with light winds early on. As we head into the afternoon, clouds will begin to increase as a surface trough moves through the region. That added cloud cover may lead to a few spotty showers late in the day, but coverage looks limited and many areas stay dry.
Tonight remains mostly cloudy with any spotty showers tapering off. Temperatures fall back into the 40s with generally quiet conditions overnight.
Looking ahead to Saturday, the day starts mainly dry, but we’ll be dealing with more clouds around. An offshore storm system passes by close enough to influence our weather, especially near the coast. While inland areas may stay dry for much of the day, there is a better chance for a few showers toward the beaches later in the day. Temperatures stay on the cooler side with that cloud cover in place.
Beyond the weekend, the pattern flips again in a big way:
• Sunshine returns and temperatures climb well into the 70s for several days next week
• Milder nights and more consistent spring warmth settle in
• Overall a much more stable and pleasant stretch of weather
To sum it all up, today starts sunny and mild before clouds increase with a chance for a few late day showers. Saturday is mostly dry but cloudier with a slight chance for coastal showers. Then we turn the corner into a much warmer and sunnier stretch next week.
