Happy Monday!

A couple of really nice days are lined up to start the week, and honestly, it’s the kind of stretch that makes you want to be outside as much as possible. We’ve got sunshine, near-seasonal temps, and light winds through Tuesday before clouds start to build and a slow-moving system eventually brings some rain by midweek. Enjoy the good stuff while it lasts.

Today

Watch for patchy frost on the grass and car windshields early this morning…it should clear out by 8am. After that, it’s a genuinely beautiful day. Skies go sunny, the high climbs to near 67°F, and a light north wind around 5 mph keeps things comfortable without being cold. It’ll feel a little warmer than it actually is once you’re out of the shade and in the sun.

Tonight

Mostly clear skies hold through the night, and it stays quiet. The low drops to around 41°F with an east wind around 5 mph that fades to calm by morning. No frost concerns tonight, and no drama…just a calm, cool spring night.

Tuesday

Tuesday is still a good day, though clouds start to fill in through the afternoon. The high reaches near 68°F, which is actually a touch warmer than today, and winds stay light…calm in the morning, then a southeast breeze around 5 mph by afternoon. You won’t need a jacket for most of the day, but that cloud cover is a sign of what’s coming.

Later on

  • Tuesday night brings a slight chance of showers before 2am, with just a 20% chance…most of us stay dry overnight.
  • Wednesday starts mostly cloudy and stays that way, with showers possible after 2pm at a 50% chance and less than a tenth of an inch expected; southeast winds around 5 mph.
  • Wednesday night is when the rain really arrives…showers become likely, mainly after 8pm, with a 90% chance overnight.
  • Thursday clears out through the day, with a 30% chance of lingering showers before 2pm and a high near 61°F.
  • The back half of the week looks much better … Friday brings mostly sunny skies and a high near 63°F, and the weekend stays mild in the low 60s with only a slight shower chance Saturday.
