We’ve got a bit of a mixed bag to start the day today, but things do improve as we head through the afternoon.

For today, expect mostly cloudy skies early on with a chance for spotty showers around, especially through the morning and early afternoon hours. It’s not a washout, but you may run into a few brief showers here and there. Winds will be light, generally out of the west to northwest around 5 to 10 mph. As we move later into the day, clouds begin to break, allowing for some intervals of sunshine to develop. Temperatures will respond into the mid to upper 60s, making for a more comfortable finish compared to the start.

Tonight turns quieter with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures drop back into the upper 40s to low 50s, and winds remain light. Overall, a calm and seasonable night.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, we continue the improving trend with a mix of sun and clouds and highs pushing closer to 70. It’s a dry and pleasant setup as we start to transition into a warmer pattern.

Beyond that, things are looking even better before another shift:

• Thursday and Friday bring plenty of sunshine with highs climbing into the 70s
• Comfortable conditions with light winds and low humidity
• A change arrives for the weekend with cooler air moving back in
• Expect more clouds and the return of scattered showers through the weekend

To sum it all up, today starts with a few spotty showers and plenty of clouds, but we break into some sunshine later on. Tonight is calm and seasonable, and the rest of the week trends warmer and sunnier before a cooler, more unsettled weekend arrives.

Have a great day! – “Nor’Easter” Nick Pittman
