Good morning!

We’re heading into a stretch where the pattern starts to turn a bit more active, but it’s still warm overall and very manageable.

For ttoday, expect a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures climbing into the lower 80s mainland, 70s beaches. Winds will be out of the west around 10 to 15 mph, giving us a light breeze through the day. As the atmosphere becomes a bit more unsettled, there will be a chance for scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly during the afternoon and evening. It won’t be a washout, but you may have to dodge a few passing downpours.

Tonight stays mild with temperatures dropping into the upper 50s to low 60s. Skies remain partly to mostly cloudy, and a few lingering showers or storms could stick around into the evening before gradually tapering off overnight.

As we move into tomorrow, things begin to calm down a bit. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Winds shift slightly out of the northwest, bringing in a touch drier air. While a stray shower is still possible, most of the day trends drier and more comfortable.

From a broader perspective, both the Storm Prediction Center and Weather Prediction Center continue to keep New Jersey in a relatively low-impact zone. There is no strong signal for widespread severe weather, and rainfall amounts remain scattered and manageable.

Looking ahead:

• Temperatures stay above normal with highs generally in the 70s to near 80
• Periodic chances for showers and a few thunderstorms continue
• No prolonged or widespread heavy rain expected
• A more stable and slightly cooler pattern begins to settle in toward the weekend

To sum it up, today is warm with a mix of sun and clouds and a chance for scattered afternoon showers or storms. Tonight stays mild with a few lingering showers, and the following day trends drier with comfortable spring conditions returning.

Have a great day! – “Nor’Easter” Nick Pittman
