Good morning!
We’re still riding that hot spring pattern today, but you’ll start to notice a few more changes creeping in compared to the past couple of days.
For today, expect a mix of clouds and some sunshine with temperatures reaching the upper 80s to low 90s. That’s still WELL above normal. Winds will be out of the southwest around 10 to 15 mph, occasionally gusty. As we head through the day, there will be a chance for scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm, especially during the afternoon and evening hours. It won’t rain all day, but you’ll want to stay weather aware.
Tonight remains mild with temperatures dropping into the upper 50s to low 60s. Skies stay partly to mostly cloudy, and a few leftover showers or storms may linger into the evening before tapering off overnight.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, we start to settle things down a bit. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures still around 90. Winds stay light out of the west to northwest, and while a spotty shower can’t be completely ruled out, much of the day trends drier compared to today.
From a broader perspective, both the Storm Prediction Center and Weather Prediction Center indicate only a limited risk for any organized severe weather across New Jersey. Any storms that do develop look to be scattered and short-lived, with no widespread impacts expected.
Looking ahead:
• Temperatures remain above normal but begin to ease slightly
• Scattered shower chances continue, but coverage becomes more limited
• A quieter and more stable pattern tries to return late week
• No major storm systems expected in the near term
To sum it all up, today brings a warm but more unsettled setup with scattered showers and a possible thunderstorm. Tonight stays mild with a few lingering showers, and tomorrow trends a bit drier with seasonably warm temperatures.
Have a great day! – “Nor’Easter” Nick Pittman
