Happy Hump Day!

It’s a cold one this morning. We are waking up in the mid to upper 20s with a Freeze Warning in place for a little while longer. You definitely needed the heavy coat today. This is a reminder that planting this early in the season can still be risky. We are not quite there yet.

The good news is we have plenty of sunshine today. High pressure is in control, keeping things dry and quiet. Temperatures will stay on the cooler side though, topping out in the upper 40s to around 50 degrees.

Tonight, we drop back to near freezing again, around 32.

By tomorrow, we start to turn a corner. Highs climb into the upper 50s and low 60s inland, with cooler 50s along the shore thanks to that ocean influence.

Looking ahead, the overall pattern stays dry and calm. A weak system moves in Friday with the chance for a few spotty showers, but nothing organized and no severe weather concerns.

Then we really start to feel spring.

Temperatures climb into the 70s this weekend inland, with 50s to near 60 at the beaches. Even better, early next week we could see a few days pushing close to 80 degrees.

So hang in there through this chilly start. Warmer days are coming, and spring is ready to take over.
