Happy Friday friend! It feels like we’ve been stuck in constant weekend mode since last week, doesn’t it? Alright so we’ve got some active weather to talk about. Today starts off with sunshine, blue skies and overall nice / calm weather but as we go into the evening commute, that changes.
A quick moving piece of energy rolls through out neck of the woods and we will open the door for some snow moving from NW to SE from about 4pm to 8pm.
Accumulations will depend on three things:
1. Intensity of bands of snow
2. Coverage of snow
3. Speed of snow
I think there will be an opportunity to see up to a couple inches in the southern parts of our viewing area. I would HIGHLY recommend salting sidewalks. Roads will be messy in the areas where heavy snow falls.
The weekend is cold, dry and windy, but by SUNDAY NIGHT we will be watching our next system that will bring more snow. IF all works out the “right way” we’ve got our first plowable snow in the cards by Monday PM.
