Holy wind, Batman! We’ve got that advertised clipper system working through the region as I type. Winds are still out of the south/southwest so that means the cold front is STILL out to our west. I give it another hour or so until it slides through.
Along that front we could see a burst of snow and winds gusting to over 40mph. Not everyone will see a squall, but the potential is on the table. The air is VERY cold above our heads so snow could make it down to the surface.
Temps will go the OTHER way today. We start out in the 40s, we end up in the 20s. Wind chills will plunge into the 20s through the day. Bundle up!
We stay blustery tomorrow. Winds relax a bit for Saturday. Breezy, but not bad. Parades and all those outdoor things will be fine. Sunday looks warmer, around 50, we continue to warm into next week.
