Happy Monday my friend! We’ve got some wintry weather on the way. IF this all comes together the way I think it will, we could put an end to the 2 year snow drought we’ve had. Now, I’m not talking A LOT of snow, but enough to whiten things up…and enough to be annoying to the point where ya have to break out the shovels and salt.
Most of the day is fine, we will see our low pressure approach from the south by late afternoon / early evening. Light snow breaks out and will accumulate almost immediately because of how cold the ground is. A period of moderate snow overnight before wrapping in the morning.
I think 1 to 3″ on the mainland, 1-2 at the beaches? Really comes down to if there’s any mixing. Temps west of the parkway will be in the 20s by the time the snow is falling so that means the ratios will be a bit higher.
Another chance of a winter storm exists later in the week. We will keep a very close eye on things as we get a little closer.
