Happy Monday! Bright skies return. Today will be the “calm before the storm”. Much more impactful storm on the way for tomorrow. Highs top out in the lower 40s. It will be chilly and a bit breezy at times but sunny and dry.
Tomorrow afternoon we are looking at the storm getting to us. Early to mid afternoon some scattered showers work in. Steady to heavy rain later in the day.
I’m expecting south-southeast winds 15-25mph sustained by the afternoon with gusts 40-50mph on the mainland, 50-60 along the shore WITHOUT this band. Timing of the worst winds will be maybe 4 hours between 9p and 1a
I am one to always stay calm no matter the situation – but I must urge you to please pay as close attention to this storm as possible. Down trees & power outages are a concern of mine. We’ve been talking about this storm since Wednesday. There’s no avoiding it. It’s going to happen. We just need to hope things don’t come together the way they’re modeled.
Tidal flooding will be an issue but we *should* avoid any major concerns since winds will be at their worst at low tide. Minor flooding Wednesday AM. Poor drainage flooding possible so keep that in mind!
