A low-pressure system will move northeast along the spine of the Appalachians by Monday. This will bring widespread rain early Monday morning with showers gradually becoming more scattered through the morning.

A break in precipitation is expected during the afternoon with isolated rain and snow showers Monday evening. No snow accumulation is expected.

High pressure ridge builds in from the southwest before another low-pressure system enters the Great Lakes region Tuesday into Wednesday.

The high pressure will lead to dry conditions late Monday night and Tuesday morning. The next low brings lake effect rain and snow showers Tuesday evening that will transition to all snow overnight into early Wednesday before mixing back with rain and ending by midday Wednesday. 1-2” of snow is possible in the snowbelt and an inch or less in Aurora. Snow will stick to grass and elevated surfaces.
