As a cold front moves through the region this morning temperatures will be falling through the 50’s today after an early morning high. Showers with the front this morning should give way to some sunshine this afternoon.
As low pressure moves along the front to our south, rain returns late tonight and continues into Sunday. Showers on Monday, especially in the morning will end. High near 50 degrees Sunday but dropping into the 40’s Monday. Near freezing temperatures by late Monday night.
Tuesday will be dry during the daytime, but as an upper level trough reaches the region, snow showers (first of the season) at night could cause some slicks spots especially on elevated surfaces, such as bridges and overpasses. Snow showers linger into Wednesday but with temperatures climbing to near 40 degrees, it can become mixed with rain showers. Near freezing temperatures are again in store for both late Tuesday and Wednesday night.
Dry weather finally returns at the end of the week along with slow warming from the unseasonably cold period.
