A ridge will affect the region through Thursday as the parent high pressure center drifts from the eastern Great Lakes and drift towards the Canadian Maritimes.
The high pressure will keep skies mostly clear and high temperatures more typical of late August than early October. One more morning of patchy fog is possible Monday morning.
Late week, a strong cold front will sweep eastward across the area on Friday into Saturday.
This front looks to bring widespread rain to the area Friday followed by some rain showers possible over the weekend as low pressure moves through Michigan.
The 6-10 day forecast period looks to cool off with temperatures below average.
