Low pressure will move across the Ohio Valley Wednesday night into Thursday morning as a cold front approaches from the northwest. This will bring scattered showers during the late overnight hours and the morning hours Thursday.
The cold front will slowly cross the region Thursday before a ridge builds over northeast into Ohio Friday. This high will move to the mid Atlantic and eastern Great Lakes by Friday evening as a strong shortwave trough dives into the upper Midwest.
This trough will bring a cold front late Friday night and early Saturday morning. Another cold front moves through Saturday evening. These fronts will bring a chance for numerous showers and thunderstorms Friday night through Saturday. Some heavy rain looks likely in thunderstorms.
Brief high pressure will be in place Sunday before an unseasonably strong trough brings rain chances Monday along with high temperatures more typical of early Fall.
