A cool front sagging south through the area will continue to result in some periods of showers and thunderstorms this morning. Heavy rainfall can occur along with frequent lightning and gusty winds.
As the front moves to the south of the region, rain chances will decrease although showers will still be possible in the afternoon. It will not be nearly so warm today, but with dew points in the lower 70’s it will still be very humid.
High pressure moves in with dry and pleasant weather Sunday into the middle of next week. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70’s with lows dropping into the middle and upper 50’s. The dew points will be mostly in the 50’s.
Temperatures and humidity levels will creep upwards by the middle of next week in advance of the next system which could bring some showers by about Thursday.
