Today is gonna be rather unsettled…stormy at times. Now, we aren’t talking severe weather but rather areas of rain that could be steady to heavy at times, especially later in the day. As we push into the evening hours we will see a transfer of energy from a parent low to the west over the Ohio Valley to a coastal low off-shore.
Ordinarily we’d be talking snow…not the case with this system because that transfer happens too late and the center will be too far east…HOWEVER as we go into Saturday morning there could be a quick burst of snow/wintry mix.
Rain arrives in the form of scattered showers after lunch. They’ll continue on and off through tomorrow morning.
Winds will start gusting out of the southeast 20-30mph, then shift west briefly, then out of the northeast into Saturday morning gusting 30-40mph as the coastal low forms.
Tidal Flooding will be a concern SATURDAY NIGHT. High tide is 11pm-1am with probably around 6″ of water in the backbay areas. That flooding could be an issue from about 12am to 2am.
